Beware of Falling Satellite

NPR informed me this morning that a retired U.S. research satellite the size of a school bus will be falling to earth in the next few days. They say it will come down in many pieces. Apparently they are hopeful it will all land in the ocean, since that is the majority of our planet, but they are making no promises. So my advice is keep an eye to the sky.

From what I read in the newspaper they said it could land anywhere...except Antarctica! Would love to see the reentry flames but don't want to see any pieces near my house!

Hmm, I might have to make a point of wearing safety goggles. I would hate to lose an eye while watching out for falling debris. ;)
