Well, today starts the week of my 40th birthday celebrations. It begins rather auspiciously, I think, with an evening with Liza Minelli. One of my oldest friends is taking me to see Ms. Minelli at the Hollywood Bowl this evening. Very exciting. My actual birthday will be Wednesday, so we'll probably just have a little dinner, and for the grand finale a birthday party next Saturday. I don't know how this 40 year old lady is going to handle it, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
