High Society

Friday is Frank Sinatra day on TCM. I had no idea he had made so many movies?? They're showing 12 of them. The one I'm going to be sure to catch is High Society. I've never watched it in it's entirety, and I want to. High Society is the musical version of Philadelphia Story, I guess I've always assumed High Society couldn't measure up so I've just never given it a chance.
High Society stars Frank ( Oh Yeah, we're on a first name basis), Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and I don't know who plays the women reporter. The only scene I remember from this film is Frank singing "Well, Did You Evah" with Bing Crosby. I'm not even sure if Frank plays the X or the reporter, anyway he and Bing are in those roles. I'll know more after I see it I guess. It's on Friday, Aug. 28 10:30 et 7:30 pt.

I need to give 'High Society' another viewing, as I don't remember much of it from the last time I saw it. Which may have been the last time TCM aired it, whenever that was. I've always loved 'The Philadelphia Story', and I love musicals, so why can't I remember HS?

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to head home and set my up DVR for Friday.

My thought exactly. If you watch it live we could tweet it.

OMG This is one of my all time favorite movies! I've seen it so many times, along with my mother and when the moment is appropriate, we'll quote things like "It's Miss Embry, from Duluuuuth." Or "This is the voice of DOOM!" Etc etc. Grace Kelly is fun to watch! I hope you enjoyed it.
